What we see on Safari Motor Coaches units
Parts availability, which is the defining constraint on this discontinued brand
Full body paint weathering unevenly over decades of outdoor exposure
Front cap stress cracking on long wheelbase coaches
Slide seal compression and floor edge damage on equipped units
Basement compartment alignment as the frame settles
Roof transition sealant on very high mileage coaches
Original graphic schemes requiring reproduction rather than ordering
Model lines we work on: Trek and Trek Sahara, Cheetah and Panther, Zanzibar and Serengeti, Continental and Ivory, Simba and Sahara, Safari coaches on Magnum and Roadmaster chassis.
Repairing a coach the factory no longer supports
Safari is a discontinued brand. There is no parts counter to call, which means every repair on a Safari coach starts with a sourcing question rather than a labor question.
That is not a reason to write the coach off. These were well built vehicles and many owners have maintained them meticulously for twenty years or more. What it means is that fabrication is the normal path rather than the exception.
We are direct about this at the first conversation. Knowing that a cap section will be built rather than ordered changes the timeline and the cost, and you should know it before the coach is in a bay.
What fabrication actually delivers
A fabricated fiberglass panel laid up to match the original construction behaves like the panel next to it under flex. That is the standard, not merely looking correct on delivery.
For compartment doors, trim and structural sections, fabrication frequently produces a better outcome than a salvage part of unknown history. A salvaged panel from a coach that sat outdoors for a decade may need as much work as building new.
The timeline is also more predictable, because it depends on our schedule rather than on a search that may not conclude.
Paint on a twenty year old full body finish
Safari coaches carried complex full body paint that has now weathered for two decades. The driver side and the passenger side are visibly different colors on close inspection, and the factory code describes neither of them.
Any match has to be sprayed out against the actual panel adjacent to the repair, then blended outward. Stopping at a hard seam produces a repair visible from across a parking lot.
Graphics have to be reproduced. Some owners choose to simplify the original scheme rather than replicate it exactly, which is a legitimate and considerably less expensive option. We will lay both out.

Questions we get asked
Is it worth repairing a discontinued Safari coach
Frequently yes. These were well built vehicles and many have been maintained meticulously for twenty years or more. The constraint is sourcing rather than capability, which means fabrication is the normal path rather than the exception. Knowing that before the coach is in a bay is what keeps the timeline honest.
Would a salvage part be better than a fabricated one
Often not. A salvaged panel from a coach that sat outdoors for a decade may need as much work as building new, and its history is unknown. A fabricated panel laid up to match the original construction behaves like its neighbors under flex, and the timeline depends on our schedule rather than a search that may not conclude.
Can you reproduce a twenty year old graphic scheme
Yes, as custom work rather than as an ordered part. Some owners choose to simplify the original scheme instead, which is legitimate and considerably less expensive. We lay out both options with real numbers so the decision is yours rather than assumed.
