Why us

Why Choose Us

The specific reasons owners drive 22 miles: single site capability, carrier direct billing, documented repairs and honest scope.

Short answer. West Covina owners choose OCRV Center because one 35,000 square foot Yorba Linda building holds structural, composite, refinish, interior and systems capability, because we bill sixteen carriers direct, and because we document every stage of a repair instead of asking you to take it on faith.

OCRV Center works in shop at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, about 22 miles and 30 to 45 minutes from West Covina.

One building instead of three appointments

The single largest reason people make the drive is consolidation. A typical RV collision job touches structural, composite, refinish, sealing, interior and electrical work. At most facilities that means the body shop does its part, then the vehicle goes to an RV service center for the slide and the wiring, then somewhere else for the interior.

Every handoff costs weeks. Each new shop reopens the estimate, each one waits for its own parts, and the insurance file fragments across multiple invoices that the adjuster then has to reconcile.

Here, one work order covers all of it and the vehicle never leaves the property. On a claim with a supplement in the middle, that consolidation routinely cuts total cycle time in half compared with the multi shop route.

We can physically accept the vehicle

This sounds trivial until you have been turned away. Full length Class A coaches, Super C units, forty foot fifth wheels with the truck still attached, box trucks with a lift gate hanging off the back, and shuttle buses all fit inside our bays. Refinish happens in booths sized for coach length work rather than in sections.

Outdoor refinish is the tell. If a shop tells you they will paint your motorhome outside or under a canopy, you are being told the finish will have contamination in it and the blend will be evaluated under whatever the sky is doing that afternoon. That is not a repair standard, that is a compromise.

The 35,000 square feet also means we can hold a vehicle mid teardown without blocking the floor. Figures reflect OCRV Center shop volume at the Yorba Linda facility. That matters on jobs where a molded cap is on a six week lead: your coach is inside, sealed and secure, not sitting behind a fence in the weather.

Composite and structural work done to a real standard

The failure mode we see most often on other shops work is filler over a live problem. A delaminated area gets ground, filled and painted while the failed core is still behind it. It looks correct for one season, then the bubble comes back larger because the underlying separation never stopped moving.

Our sequence removes failed core back to sound laminate, replaces it with the correct material for that construction, and vacuum bonds the skin flat under controlled pressure. On wood framed walls, we repair or replace framing members before the skin closes. On aluminum stud construction, we address corrosion at the fastener line rather than sealing over it.

On structure, we measure. Frame rails, crossmembers, A frames, pin boxes and commercial chassis get compared against specification rather than eyeballed. A trailer that tracks wrong or eats tires after a repair is a trailer that was never measured.

Insurance experience that saves you the argument

We bill Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati and AGWS directly. Carrier names are listed to show claim experience. OCRV Center is an independent shop and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent of any insurer.

What direct billing means in practice: the carrier pays the shop, you pay your deductible, and you are not floating five figures on a credit card while a check works its way through a claims department.

What claim experience means in practice: our supplements get written in the format adjusters need, with the photographs, measurements and part numbers that let a file handler approve without a second request. On a laminated repair, a vague supplement can sit for two weeks. A complete one moves in days.

It also means we know which arguments are worth having. Betterment on a roof membrane. Aftermarket versus OEM on a cap. Diminished value. Loss of use. We will tell you which of those are realistically winnable on your claim and which are not, rather than encouraging a fight you will lose.

Documentation you can actually read

Every job is photographed at intake, at teardown, at each major stage, and at completion. Moisture readings are logged. Teardown findings are written before parts are ordered. Supplements carry evidence.

You get access to all of it. This is not a courtesy, it is protection for both sides. If a question arises in two years about what was repaired and how, there is a file that answers it. If you sell the coach, that file is worth real money to a buyer who has been burned by hidden water damage before.

The same documentation is what lets us push back credibly with a carrier. An adjuster is far more receptive to a photograph of a delaminated core with a scale in frame than to a technician saying it was worse than it looked.

Straight answers about scope, cost and whether to repair at all

The uncomfortable conversations happen early here. If teardown is likely to triple the estimate, you hear that before you authorize. If the unit is close to a total loss, you hear that as soon as we can see it. If what you want done is cosmetic cover over a structural problem, we will decline and explain why.

We also decline work outside our disciplines. Engine, drivetrain and DOT inspection work on commercial and fleet vehicles is not something we do, and we say so before you drive out from West Covina rather than after.

Prices are posted rather than negotiated per customer. Body and paint at $210 per hour, mechanical and electrical at $260, diagnostics at $285 with a one hour minimum credited against an authorized repair, detail at $95. Parts markup, material formulas and deposit structure are all published. There is no version of our pricing that only certain customers get.

The range of vehicles we actually see weekly

Class A gas and diesel coaches, Class B camper vans, Class C and Super C, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, truck campers, pop ups and teardrops, horse and livestock trailers, cargo and race trailers, Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster vans, box trucks, stake beds, service and utility bodies, shuttle and school buses, food trucks, mobile medical units, municipal equipment and Rivian vans.

That breadth is not a marketing list. It is why the shop can solve unusual problems: a technique developed on a race trailer floor transfers to a toy hauler garage, and a lift gate reinforcement approach transfers to a heavy awning mount on a fifth wheel.

Where we are not the right answer

If your issue is chassis engine or transmission work on a motorhome, that belongs at a chassis dealer. Ford, Freightliner, Spartan and Mercedes chassis have service networks and we are not one of them.

If you need a repair completed today because you are leaving tomorrow, we are usually not the shop. Proper composite and refinish work has cure times that cannot be compressed, and we would rather tell you no than hand you a repair that failed because it was rushed.

If the vehicle is not worth the repair, we will tell you. An older unit with widespread delamination, a soft floor and a failing roof can easily generate a repair estimate that exceeds what the coach is worth. Knowing that before you spend anything is worth more than a hopeful estimate.

Questions we get asked

Why should I drive to Yorba Linda when there are body shops in West Covina

Because a body shop repairs sheet metal. Your RV sidewall is a bonded composite sandwich, your slide runs on a rail and controller system, your roof is a membrane with sealed penetrations, and your floor is a laminated subfloor. Those are different trades. The 22 mile drive buys a facility that carries all of them plus booths large enough to refinish the vehicle indoors in one piece.

What makes your estimates different from a cheaper one I got

Almost always the difference is operations, not rates. Cheaper estimates commonly omit structural measurement, corrosion protection on opened seams, proper seam sealing, adequate blend panels, and removal of failed core behind a damaged area. Those omissions do not show for a year or two. Ask any shop to explain their estimate line by line, including ours. If they cannot, that tells you something.

Do you actually get better results from insurance companies

We get faster and cleaner results, which usually amounts to the same thing. A supplement with photographs at scale, moisture readings, part numbers and defensible labor times gets approved with fewer rounds than a narrative description. That reduces cycle time and reduces the chance that a legitimate operation gets denied. We cannot make a carrier pay for something outside your policy, and we will not pretend otherwise.

How many five star reviews do you have

More than 200 across public review platforms, from RV owners, van owners and fleet managers. We publish the count rather than an average because a count is a fact and an average is a moving statistic that gets used to imply things it should not. Read the reviews themselves, particularly the long ones describing complicated jobs, since those tell you far more than any number.

Is there anything you refuse to do

Yes. We will not put filler and paint over failed core or a live water intrusion path. We will not skip structural measurement on a vehicle that took an impact. We will not perform engine, drivetrain or DOT inspection work on commercial and fleet vehicles. And we do not offer mobile, roadside or fleet route service under any circumstances, because that work cannot meet the standard we hold in shop.

Do you handle small jobs or only large claims

Both. A baggage door latch, a single awning fabric, a roof vent replacement, a leaking window reseal and a slide seal set are all routine here. Small jobs actually make the schedule work, because they fill bays while larger jobs wait on parts. The only thing that will not fit is a same day walk in expectation on a job requiring parts we do not stock.
