What OCRV Center is, in one paragraph
We are a repair facility for vehicles that do not fit anywhere else. Not a dealer service department, not a general collision center, not a mobile tech with a van full of tools. A 35,000 square foot building at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, California, with bays deep enough to take a forty five foot diesel pusher inside, booths sized to refinish a coach body without breaking it into sections, and a floor staffed by people who do laminated composite work every single day. Figures reflect OCRV Center shop volume at the Yorba Linda facility.
West Covina is one of the markets we serve, about 22 miles west of the shop. We are not located in West Covina and we never claim to be. The address is Yorba Linda, and the drive is real. What we offer in exchange is a facility that can finish the job instead of subletting half of it.
Credentials and what they actually mean
We hold California Bureau of Automotive Repair registration ARD00288521 and EPA registration CAL000367879. The BAR number means the shop is a registered automotive repair dealer subject to California estimate and authorization law. That is the framework that requires a written estimate before work begins, requires your authorization before the number goes up, and gives you a complaint path that is not a phone tree.
The EPA registration covers our handling of refinish materials, solvent waste and refrigerant. It is not decorative. A shop shooting isocyanate based clear coats without proper booth capture and waste handling is a shop cutting corners in ways that also show up in the finish quality.
We are an independent facility. We are not a franchise of a dealer group and we are not owned by an insurer. That independence is why our estimates document what the vehicle needs rather than what fits a preferred parts program.
- California BAR registration ARD00288521
- EPA registration CAL000367879
- Independent ownership, no carrier and no dealer group affiliation
- Written estimate and written authorization on every job, without exception
- Direct billing relationships with sixteen named carriers
- In shop only. No mobile service, no roadside response, no fleet route visits
The disciplines under one roof
The reason RV repair goes badly at general shops is that a single job crosses four or five trades. Take a common one: a Class C sideswiped along the passenger side, damaging the entry door, the awning arm, two baggage doors and the sidewall behind them. That job is body and structural work, fiberglass and composite repair, refinish and blend, an awning mechanism rebuild, entry door hardware and adjustment, and often 12 volt work because the awning motor harness got pulled through the wall.
At a shop that only does one of those, the vehicle moves three times, three separate files exist, and the supplement process restarts each time. Here it moves between departments inside one building on one work order.
Our departments cover collision and structural, paint and refinish, fiberglass and composite, roof and sealing, slide and awning mechanisms, interior and cabinetry, plumbing and tanks, LP and appliance, 12 volt and 120 volt electrical including inverters, converters and solar, generator service, commercial equipment installation, and detail and paint correction.
How we write an estimate
An estimate here is a document, not a number shouted across a lot. We start with photographs from every angle including underneath, then a written condition report of what is visibly damaged. On collision work we note the impact vector, because that tells us where to look for secondary damage that has not surfaced yet.
Then we tell you what we expect to find. This is the part most owners have never been given before. On a laminated sidewall, we will say plainly that once the skin is opened we expect to find a certain amount of core separation and possibly wet framing, and that if we do, the estimate will grow by a documented supplement. Owners who understand that going in do not feel ambushed three weeks later.
Every price on a written estimate resolves to labor hours at a posted rate, parts at a posted markup structure, and materials at a posted formula. Body and paint labor is $210 per hour. Mechanical and electrical is $260. Diagnostics, scan and programming is $285 with a one hour minimum that is credited against an authorized repair. Detail is $95. Paint supplies bill at $55 per paint hour, body supplies at $5 per body hour, and a $45 hazmat charge applies when chemicals, refrigerant or LP are involved.
What we will not do
We do not offer mobile service, roadside repair, on location work or fleet route visits. The vehicle comes to Yorba Linda. This is not a capacity limitation, it is a quality position: structural measurement, controlled refinish and vacuum bonding do not happen correctly in a parking lot.
We do not perform engine, drivetrain or DOT inspection work on commercial and fleet vehicles. For those units we do body, paint, structural repair and equipment installation. Chassis mechanical belongs with a truck dealer or a chassis specialist and we will say so instead of taking the job and subletting it.
We do not chase the cheapest possible number by leaving out operations we know the job needs. If an estimate we write is higher than another, the difference is almost always corrosion protection, seam sealing, proper blend panels or the structural work behind the panel. We will show you line by line where the difference is.
We do not tell an owner that a repair is fine when the correct answer is that the unit should be totaled. That conversation costs us the job and it is still the right conversation.
Insurance work is the core of what we do
A large share of what rolls through the doors is a claim. Collision, comprehensive, wind and hail, falling tree limb, vandalism, water intrusion where the cause is a covered event, fire and smoke, and total loss disputes.
We bill Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati and AGWS directly. Carrier names are listed to show claim experience. OCRV Center is an independent shop and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent of any insurer.
Direct billing means the carrier pays us and you pay your deductible plus any owner elected upgrades. It removes the step where you front five figures and wait for a check. On larger claims it also means the supplement conversation happens between the shop and the adjuster with photographs in hand, rather than through you as a messenger.
What a first visit from West Covina looks like
Call (949) 799-3387 before you leave. That single step prevents most of the friction: we confirm a bay, we know how long the rig is, and we make sure the right department has someone free when you arrive.
Take the 10 or the 60 west to the 57 south, then the 91 east and exit Imperial Highway. Carbon Canyon Road to the 71 is the better move between three and six in the afternoon. Plan 30 to 45 minutes without traffic.
Bring your registration, your insurance information and the claim number if one exists, and photographs from the scene if there was one. If the unit has a service history with another shop, bring what you have. On water intrusion cases especially, prior sealant work tells us a great deal about where to look first.
Expect the walk through to take thirty to sixty minutes on a collision job and longer on a systems job where something has to be operated to reproduce a fault. You will leave with a written estimate, not a verbal figure.
Hours, contact and the practical details
23281 La Palma Ave, Yorba Linda, CA 92887. Phone (949) 799-3387. Email info@ocrvcenter.com.
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Closed Sunday. Saturday is a good day to drop a trailer if your weekdays are committed, but plan on a shorter window and call first because the estimating desk runs lighter.
Deposits are 50 percent at authorization on jobs over $2,000, an additional 25 percent when parts arrive on jobs over $10,000, and the balance at pickup. Special order parts require full payment at order because a molded cap or a custom panel for your specific unit has no resale market. A 3.5 percent surcharge applies to credit card payments over $1,000 as a pass through of merchant fees.
Questions we get asked
How long has OCRV Center been open
Since 2015. The facility at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda has been the base of operations throughout, and it has grown into 35,000 square feet of indoor bays, booths and fabrication space. Figures reflect OCRV Center shop volume at the Yorba Linda facility. That tenure matters mainly because composite and structural repair is a craft learned on vehicles, not in a classroom, and the failure patterns on a 2008 coach are different from those on a 2023 one.
Are you a dealer service department
No. We are an independent repair facility. That means we are not restricted to one manufacturer, not bound to a dealer parts program, and not competing for your service business against a sales floor. It also means we take vehicles a dealer will decline, including out of production brands, older coaches and units bought used from a private party with no dealer relationship attached.
What is your BAR license number
ARD00288521, issued by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Our EPA registration is CAL000367879. Both are worth verifying on any shop you consider, not just this one. The BAR registration is what obligates a shop to give you a written estimate before work starts and to obtain your authorization before exceeding it, which is the single most useful consumer protection in California repair law.
Do you work on vehicles you did not previously repair
Constantly. A large share of what comes in is a repair someone else started, abandoned or did poorly. Sealant smeared over a seam instead of the seam being opened and rebedded. A slide adjusted rather than repaired. A blend that stopped at a body line and now shows a halo. We will assess honestly what is salvageable and what has to be redone, and we will document it either way.
Can I visit the shop before committing to anything
Yes. Come look at the building, look at what is in the bays, and ask questions. We would rather you make the drive out from West Covina once to see the facility than commit a fifty thousand dollar coach to a shop you have only seen on a website. Call (949) 799-3387 first so someone is available to walk you around rather than catching us mid teardown.
What happens if I disagree with something on the estimate
Tell us before you authorize. An estimate is a proposal and every line on it has a reason we can explain: hours, part number, material formula. If you think an operation is unnecessary, we will explain why it is on there or we will remove it. What we will not do is quietly remove structural, corrosion or sealing operations to lower a number, because those are the operations whose absence you discover two years later.
Ready to get a written estimate
We write estimates at the shop and bill your carrier direct. 30 to 45 minutes from West Covina on the 57 and the 91.
