Questions about pricing
Why publish ranges instead of a flat price
Because a fifth wheel front cap hit and a Class A front cap hit are not the same job, and neither is the same as the one next to it with hidden water damage behind the cap. The range tells you the realistic span for that repair on a normal vehicle. The written estimate on your specific unit is the number that matters.
What does the estimate cost
Collision estimates are written at the shop and insurance walk ins are welcome. An RV systems estimate covering slides, awnings, water, electrical or generator work carries a charge that is credited back against an authorized repair. In depth diagnostic time runs at the diagnostic rate with a one hour minimum, also credited back if you authorize the work.
Do insurance jobs cost the same as customer pay jobs
Not always. Insurance billed jobs may be billed at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from the posted retail rates. The scope of work does not change. What changes is the rate the carrier has agreed to and how the supplement gets documented.
Why is there a deposit
Parts for RVs, trailers and fleet bodies are frequently special order and non returnable. A deposit at authorization covers ordering and holds the bay. On larger jobs a second draw comes due when parts land. The balance is due at pickup, and no vehicle leaves the property until the job is paid in full.
Is there a surcharge for paying by card
There is a small percentage surcharge on credit card payments above a threshold. That is a straight pass through of merchant processing fees on high ticket jobs, not a markup. Check, cash and insurance direct payment carry no surcharge.
Do you price match a cheaper shop
No. If a general body shop quotes a delamination repair at a fraction of our number, they are scoping a cosmetic panel fix on a structural problem. That job comes back. We would rather write you an honest estimate and let you compare scope line by line.
Want a real number on your vehicle
We write estimates at the shop and bill your carrier direct. 30 to 45 minutes from West Covina on the 57 and the 91.
