# OCRV Center, RV and Fleet Collision Repair Serving West Covina

OCRV Center is a 35,000 square foot collision, paint, fiberglass, structural and systems shop in Yorba Linda that serves West Covina owners about 22 miles away. We repair RVs, campers, fifth wheels, trailers, Sprinter vans, trucks, buses and fleets, and we bill carriers direct.

## Who repairs your RV when the body shop says no

Most West Covina owners find us the same way. Something happens to a vehicle that is too tall, too long or too odd for a normal collision center. A twenty six foot Class C clips a carport post. A fifth wheel gets backed into at a storage yard on Azusa Avenue. A box truck catches a dock plate and folds the rear sill. The first two shops that get called measure the door opening, look at the length and pass.

OCRV Center exists for exactly those vehicles. We are a 35,000 square foot facility at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, open since 2015, licensed with the Bureau of Automotive Repair as ARD00288521 and registered with the EPA as CAL000367879. Figures reflect OCRV Center shop volume at the Yorba Linda facility. The bays are sized for full length motorhomes and articulated commercial equipment, and the paint booths are sized to shoot a coach body in one pass rather than in sections.

That matters more than it sounds. A shop that cannot get your coach inside will repair it outdoors, and outdoor refinish work on a large substrate is how you end up with dirt in the clear, a blend that flashes differently in sun than in shade, and a repair you look at every time you walk past it. Everything we do happens under roof, under controlled light, with the vehicle level and stable.

## Why a specialty shop matters on an RV, a camper van or a fleet body

An RV sidewall is not sheet metal. It is a laminated sandwich: gelcoat or filon on the outside, a fiberglass mat, a foam or block foam core, a stud and framing layer, then luan or azdel and an interior finish panel. When something hits it, the damage does not stop at the surface. The impact separates the bond between those layers and travels. Six months later the owner sees a bubble that has nothing to do with where the paint got scratched.

The same logic holds for structure. A travel trailer or fifth wheel rides on a ladder frame with crossmembers, an A frame tongue and, on a fifth wheel, a pin box and king pin assembly that carries a huge share of the load. Bend a crossmember and the floor will telegraph it. Bend the A frame and the trailer will track wrong on the 60 and eat tires. Neither shows up on a walk around.

Commercial bodies fail in their own ways. A reefer body loses its liner seal and the insulation soaks. A lift gate mount tears the rear sill because the cylinder was cycled with a corner load. An aluminum box splits at the top rail where the roof bow is riveted through. Repairing any of that correctly means knowing how the body was built in the first place.

Our answer is a shop that carries all of those disciplines in one building. Body and structural, paint and refinish, fiberglass and composite, cabinetry and interior, plumbing, LP, 12 volt and 120 volt electrical, generator and appliance work, and commercial equipment install. When a job crosses disciplines, and RV jobs almost always do, nobody has to move the vehicle to a second location.

- Collision, structural and frame work on unibody, ladder frame and commercial chassis bodies
- Fiberglass, gelcoat, filon, aluminum skin and full cap replacement
- Full and partial refinish in downdraft booths sized for coach length bodies
- Slide out mechanism, seal and slide room structural rebuild
- Roof membrane, lap sealant, vent, skylight and AC gasket work
- Interior rebuild covering flooring, subfloor, cabinetry, upholstery and countertops
- 12 volt, 120 volt, inverter, converter, solar and generator systems
- Commercial body, lift gate, service body, shelving and graphics installation

## The drive from West Covina and what it buys you

West Covina sits about 22 miles from the shop. Most owners plan 30 to 45 minutes. The usual route is the 10 or the 60 west to the 57 south, then the 91 east to Imperial Highway. Carbon Canyon Road over to the 71 is the shortcut when the 57 stacks up through Brea, and it is the route we suggest to anyone towing a long trailer during afternoon peak.

It is a real drive and we do not pretend otherwise. What it buys is a single intake. Instead of a body shop for the panel, an RV dealer service department for the slide, and a third party for the electrical, the vehicle sits in one building and one file tracks all of it. On a claim with supplements, that is usually the difference between three weeks and seven.

We do not run mobile service, roadside response or fleet route visits. Every repair happens in shop in Yorba Linda. That is a deliberate choice: the equipment that makes structural and refinish work correct does not travel, and a job done in a parking lot in West Covina is a job we would not want to put our name on.

## How an insurance repair actually runs here

Bring the vehicle in and we write the estimate at the shop. Insurance walk ins are welcome, and you do not need the adjuster to visit first. We photograph the damage, document what is visible, and note what we expect to find once panels come off.

The honest part comes next. On a laminated body, the first estimate is a starting document, not the final number. Almost every RV collision claim of any size generates at least one supplement once the outer skin is open and the true extent of core separation, wet framing or a cracked crossmember is visible. We write supplements with photos, measurements and part numbers, and we send them to the adjuster before we proceed, not after.

We bill Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati and AGWS directly. Carrier names are listed to show claim experience. OCRV Center is an independent shop and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent of any insurer.

You keep the right to choose your repair facility in California. A carrier can recommend a direct repair program shop. It cannot require one. If your adjuster has steered you toward a general auto body shop that has never opened a laminated sidewall, that is worth pushing back on, and we will give you the documentation to do it.

## What the shop can take on

Class A gas and diesel pushers, Class B camper vans, Class C and Super C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, truck campers, pop ups, teardrops, horse and livestock trailers, cargo and enclosed trailers, race trailers, Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster vans, box trucks, stake beds, service and utility bodies, shuttle and transit buses, school buses, food trucks, mobile medical and mobile business builds, municipal equipment and Rivian vans.

Job size runs from a single baggage door that will not latch to a full front cap replacement with structural work behind it. We also take on planned projects: a full repaint on a coach whose clear has failed, an interior gut and rebuild, a solar and lithium house bank install, a race trailer build out with e track and cabinets.

On commercial and fleet vehicles we handle body, paint, structural and equipment installation. We do not perform engine, drivetrain or DOT inspection work on those vehicles, and we will tell you that up front rather than after you have made the drive.

## Estimates, deposits and how billing works

Collision estimates are written at the shop. RV systems estimates covering slides, awnings, water, electrical and generator work run $150 and are credited against an authorized repair. In depth diagnostic time runs one hour at $285 per hour and is likewise credited against an authorized repair. We charge for that time because tracing a 12 volt fault through a coach harness or determining whether a Schwintek controller or a rail is the real problem is real diagnostic labor, not a sales call.

Posted labor rates are $210 per hour for body and paint, $260 per hour for mechanical and electrical, $285 per hour for diagnostics, scan and programming, and $95 per hour for detail. Insurance billed jobs may be billed at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from those posted retail rates.

Deposits: 50 percent at authorization on any job over $2,000, an additional 25 percent when parts arrive on any job over $10,000, and the balance at pickup. Special order parts require a full non refundable deposit at time of order, because a cap molded for your specific coach cannot be resold.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I have to bring the RV to Yorba Linda or can someone come to West Covina

The vehicle comes to us. We do not run mobile service, roadside calls or fleet route visits. Structural pulls, downdraft refinish, laminated panel work and controlled cure cycles all require fixed equipment that cannot travel. West Covina is about 22 miles out, generally 30 to 45 minutes on the 10 or 60 west to the 57 south, then the 91 east to Imperial Highway. If the rig is not drivable, we can point you toward transport options and coordinate the drop.

### How much does an estimate cost

Collision estimates are written at the shop at no charge to you, and insurance walk ins are welcome. RV systems estimates covering slides, awnings, plumbing, electrical and generator work are $150, credited back against an authorized repair. In depth diagnostic work is billed at one hour minimum at $285 per hour, also credited against an authorized repair. That structure exists because systems diagnosis is skilled labor with a meter in hand, not a walk around.

### Will my insurance company let me choose this shop

Yes. In California you choose your repair facility. Your carrier may recommend a direct repair program shop and may explain why it prefers one, but it cannot require you to use it. Tell your adjuster the vehicle is going to OCRV Center in Yorba Linda and give them our phone number. We will handle the estimate, photo documentation and any supplements directly with the file handler from there.

### How long will my RV be in the shop

It depends far more on parts and carrier approvals than on labor. A slide seal set or an awning fabric is usually a few days. A quarter panel repair with blend runs one to two weeks. A front cap replacement with structural work behind it commonly runs four to eight weeks, and longer if the cap is molded to order. We give you a target at authorization and update it whenever a supplement or a backordered part moves it.

### What kinds of vehicles do you actually work on

Class A, B and C motorhomes, Super C coaches, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, truck campers, pop ups, teardrops, horse and cargo trailers, Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster vans, camper van conversions, box trucks, stake beds, service bodies, shuttle and school buses, food trucks, mobile business builds, municipal equipment and Rivian vans. If it is too large or too specialized for a standard collision center, it is probably normal work here.

### Do you work on the engine or chassis mechanicals

Not on commercial and fleet vehicles. For those we handle body, paint, structural and equipment installation only, and we do not perform engine, drivetrain or DOT inspection work. On RVs we cover house systems: 12 volt and 120 volt electrical, inverters and converters, generators, LP, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, plumbing, tanks, leveling and slide mechanisms. Chassis engine service belongs with a chassis dealer, and we will say so plainly.

### What if the adjuster wants to total my coach

Ask for the valuation worksheet and the comparables it was built from. Total loss thresholds in California turn on repair cost against actual cash value, and RV comparables are frequently pulled from listings that do not match your floor plan, mileage or option package. We can supply a documented repair estimate and photographs so you are arguing from evidence. Sometimes the number moves. Sometimes it does not, and repair genuinely is the wrong call.

### Can you handle a fleet of vans or box trucks rather than one vehicle

Yes, on a scheduled in shop basis. We stage fleet work so a company is not down more than one or two units at a time, and we keep a repeatable spec on file so the graphics, shelving layout and paint code come out identical across the fleet. All of it happens at the Yorba Linda facility. We do not run route service, so units come to us on a rotation you and the shop agree on in advance.
